Re: Suggestions

Borhani was just trying to scare everyone, but at the end you'll probably be quite annoyed, if you cannot sort specific presets anymore.
I will most likely keep the following extensions:
projects.vrv = contain everything that's relevant to a project.
settings.vrs = general settings, probably using your checkbox idea!
brushes.vrb = contains brush settings, including images used for bristles and so on.

I will see how it feels, once I have that done. If I like it, I keep it. But I really dislike speculating on how I can confine my creative flow. I keep saying that, but my way of working has brought about Verve to begin with and I'd give myself a shot to take it to where I envision it to go and we can goof around from there. I value the creativity of everyone here, regardless how high their skill level or how able they are to control their outbursts. ;)

Re: Suggestions

sorry if rough translate,

No, this is not true. I do not intend to scare or upset anyone.
Just some friendly joke and something that I had been told, and you can easily accept or reject.
Joke to make you happy, and Ideas that were valuable for myself.
I have some ideas but I am not able to build the software...Just I told you my dreams. That's all.
If you do not like the way others do not. I did not insult you, and no reason to upset you, I think not.
I'm sorry you are sad. I did not mean to.
I love the creative energy, do any work yourself.
You're more important to me than your software. If angry or happy : |

Re: Suggestions

Its okay dear Borhani :ob ... all ideas are welcome I think ;)
did have anyone tried Krita (I run it under linux)? Some Brushtypes would maybe also fine for verve ;) - e.g. the deform-brush => some more warp-control => e.g. (swirl clockwize, anti clockwize, lens out / lens in ...)

Re: Suggestions

Hahaha  ...see what you did, though, B... Zero felt like quoting you on the extensions. Sometimes one has to be careful with the nature of the jokes. Can go very badly! :?
But I believe I know where you're coming from with your humor, so don't worry too much about me. Worry about folks like Zero!

Krita has a lot of stuff, but is very heavy and to me somehow too packed with stuff. I totally believe that plenty of people love Krita, not to mention the great spirit that goes with it. I just somehow like to keep Verve a little bit tighter and less cluttered. I can't tell, if I will achieve that, but it's my intention. Making good interfaces has three major components, if you asked me:
Nr1 and most important: Clarity - Simplicity
Nr2 elegant customization
Nr3 elegant and not distracting design

Verve currently has...eh... non of that. But it will come!

Re: Suggestions

Hello Taron,
With u25 I've noticed that the GPU is hardly relieved when minimizing Verve. It is a recent behavior since just a few versions before (e.g. u19), i'm sure that the GPU load was going to zero when minimizing (and my old GPU could then cool down :D ). Suggestion is to restore this nice trick in the versions to come, if possible! Thanks.
regards,
GBoGBo

Uh, ah... oh...crap. Yeah! I'll have a look. So weird with that stuff and BlitzMax. I just switched to Event based logic and have to relocate my little work-around for that.
Thanks for letting me know! :ob

Re: Suggestions

Try downloading again and tell me what happens! :geek:
I've also tried to consider app suspension now. That means, if the window is not active, Verve will pause.
