Re: v26 Averaging/buildup

Fantastic Taron!

Adds alot more subtle control over the blend tool..beautiful!

LOve to have it swing the other way too where you can average volume but not color....controlled by the color opacity slider perhaps...0 opacity means no colour blending?
or perhaps in the future gui a dedicated single dial where 0 is normal balanced blend of color and volume, -100 is no color blend, and +100 is no volume blend.

my favourite is still your suggestion of using chaos on 9 as a blender...LOVE IT....awsome :)

Re: Suggestions

Oh, yeah, that's GREAT fun, isn't it! Chaos to blend! 8-)
But, yeah, you're VERY right about the average on buildup only. All too often I wanted that myself. Hmmmm...tiny bit tricky for silly reasons, but I'll be able to do that, of course. Great call! :ob

Re: Suggestions

These are incredible news.
Not sitting in fromt of my computer right now.
Can't wait to play around!

Thank you so much!!

Just had tried it shortly.
This is by far the best update regarding painting for a long time!
Thank you taron, thank you stavros.
Having the possibility to control bumps locally by brush stroke is so unbelievable useful.
How often did I come to the point I would love to do this with fine control?

Apparently I'm a little bit on fire these days. 8-)
Yeah, Knacki, I know exactly what you're saying!!! I'm kind of shaking my head at myself for not having done that a long time ago. I think, I might've been worried about potential confusions and it was a wee bit tricky to hook it all up, because of the different brush logic I have for at least 4 different types of brushes. But, yeah, I'm happy, too! :D
Stavros, this is one of those times when I will ignore your suggestion!!! :P ...I'm not taking a year off, haha, no worries. But what I'm hoping to do may take a little while. We shall see!
But also, if you guys run into any trouble with the new stuff, let me know, of course. BESIDES, I still have to hook up File I/O stuff for the recordings. I think, it will be super fun to share some of those!?! No idea how big those are gonna get, though... :|

And, Pilou, yeah, hahaha, good one! 8-)

"N" listen to % of Hue Dancer

"N" makes RND Hue, which is fun but with rare use.
Once used "N" with color swatches open, it uses the color swatches, which is better but makes a lot of loading, unloading of color swatches necessary..
Finaly, one have to unload the color swatches to reset "N" working RND again.

What about combining "N" with percentage of "Hue dancer" instead?
Painting foliage i.e.
With an image brush + oscillate + oscillate chaos, one is painting a lot of leaves with one stroke.
Hue dancer produces variations on every new stroke "only"
If "N" would produce a slight Hue random of color according to "Hue Dancer" percentage in every painted brush image during one stroke would make it most useful.
This would be more flexible, useful and faster than "N" + color swatches.

What do you think?

Second it would be lovely to have a tone lock as well.
This locks the color variations gamma.
Best is an example to describe this:
