Re: Bug Reports

Um, hello. I've been having a bug with the fluidity. I tried downloading again but it won't do a thing. Everytime I press the button to change the fluidity it crashes completly, just by pressing it, the screen goes black for a couple of seconds and then it says "No response" And I have to close and open again. Every thing else works perfectly tho. And I really wanted to use the fluidity unu So please if you know why is that happening, please help me out
I love verve btw! You're amazing!

Re: Bug Reports

Thanks, rottenmarsh, but you better tell me what hardware you're using, otherwise I can only guess wildly that it's too old or too weak and probably both. It sounds like a "time out", which indicates that it tries to evaluate the shaders, but cannot keep up. :|
Sorry I don't have any better news for you. But still, let me know what card you have in your computer!

Re: Bug Reports

Oooh I'm sorry I'm so stupid. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250. It's pretty shitty so I guess I'll wait till I can buy something decent
Well, thank you anyway, I hope you have a great day! :D

Re: Bug Reports

Hey Taron, super program!
I am using the latest version 0.99t.02 and have experienced that crash you mentioned in OP.
Tried adding a layer and the program just closed..

Do you have any plans to implement an autosave function?

Re: Bug Reports

Oh yes, I was thinking about that, too! I gotta track down that crash, though, because every now and then that can happen. I'm sure it's something silly.
Thanks for letting me know and welcome to the forum! :D

Re: Bug Reports

Ah, I had the new layer crash bug happen while using version 0.99s. Not sure how helpful that is, haha.

Re: Bug Reports

That has been there since the beginning! ...it's a weird silly thing that is a funky bug to find, since it logically should never happen. I know what it is, just couldn't quite nail the where since it happens so rarely. It's not easy to reproduce!

Thanks, tho! ;)

Re: Bug Reports

Hello. I found out about Verve a couple months ago, but had trouble with my old video card (a Radeon 4450 purchased back in 2008, literally the only remaining part of my previous setup). It painted, but only after much intense lagging.

Last week I had the opportunity to replace the card with an Asus HD 7750, which did wonders to my computer's performance but seems to have some major disagreement with Verve.

(Here's a link to a better-quality video: http://i.gyazo.com/3a2062221eab2f022dba5433b9b7f312.mp4)

Otherwise my specs should have been just fine: Intel core i7, asus p9x79-LE mobo, 16gb ram, Windows 7 64bit. I'm really very puzzled by this.
Asus HD 7750 1GB
Intel core i7 (3.60 GHz)
16 GB ram
Windows 7 Professional 64bit SP 1

Re: Bug Reports

THAT...I have never seen before!
Maybe it's a weird settings thing... check for latest drivers maybe?
I've also never heard of ASUS graphics cards before, actually, nor has anyone ever reported using them. It is most certainly a GL problem, but one that looks like Asus must fix! :|
Obviously they're still pretty young in that line of products, I'd assume, thus they'll got their work cut out for themselves. By now I'm fairly certain that everything I do is by the book enough to run on all sorts of systems.
I believe it's always the safest bet to go with either Nvidia or ATi. I'd still favor Nvidia, of course. Anyway, sorry I don't have any more useful reaction to that, but this I most certainly can't investigate without anyone putting such a system before me.
Thanks for reporting and trying, though!
