About "blend" from the French strict painters

if you have a blue liquid ink and you pass a yellow liquid ink over the blue liquid ink, you must have a green mixing, and it spreads in both color, there you have just a stroked a little green, and again, it's really not realistic at this level ...

Something lacking strong as it is a dry brush that is able to do so (a smudge), you know you're in the fresh paint and such, you can not make a color gradient

<sigh> they really should get a bit of a grip. Verve is a tool to create art! I'm improving it to make it more and more powerful, but it is not my goal to make a physically correct oil paint simulation or ink or any of this. If I figure out how to make more exciting color mixing, I will put it in, but even then it will be a digital medium to create art! It's not like I don't have eyes to see, you know.
But I value there keen observation and kindness to make these complaints. So, send them my gratitude! Merci!

Thanks, Pilou! I think the problem may be, that they do not talk to me directly. Obviously they are having high hopes for Verve and I think that's fantastic! If they only knew what I want to develop, and if they had any idea how challenging some of those things are, they'd focus on experimenting with what is there already and try to motivate me to face those challenges that still need to be overcome!

OpenGL offers a way to instruct the hardware directly, but it is limited in certain ways, if you want to make it work as fast as it can. The Blend Functions in openGL are rather rudimentary, really, and they only worry about additive blending, like a computer does, like light does. If I want to simulate perfect subtractive color mixing, I would have to go around openGL and write shaders, which could do that. But this would mean extra processing on many levels, thereby slowing everything down a bit more. I'm not too worried about it, because I am planning on experimenting with that anyway. Just not now. First I want to make Verve enjoyable for humans. Then I'll have a look at those french super humans!

Not at all man! Its so small that I feel stupid to even mention that

I see nowhere or i miss something the simulation with the mouse of the Size changement in movement of the brush!
I suppose that work fine with a pen tablet but that will be very cool also with a pression of a key!

Space changes the size but painting and drag brush is stopped under the brush!
w is for the pen tablet

Display the % of zoom on the title line is missing!

On your videos drawing of the brush inside the palette is on constant rotation!
With a mouse it's only move at each click! Does this normal?

That sounds a little weird.
Ah, yes, zoom display, I keep trying to think of a good place for it. Titlebar is not so good. I'll figure something out.
Download the current version again for a bit of different color treatment. It is VERY subtle, but I've worked on the smudge blending a little bit.

Suggestion : sounds ? Waves, winds, backwash, waterfall, cascade, flood, stream, river, torrent... following the action strokes!
if possible that slowdown all the process ?
