Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

z rotation?
when will be it release?

note aside:
I read some of your post from 2015
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1014&p=17706#p17706
where Stavros mentioned working with 4000 x 2000 resolution
what graphic card were you using then?
cuz I have an gtx 680m and 2000 x 2000 is its limit.

my only possible guess is that earlier versions of Verve were somehow able to handle larger resolutions that current version, Taron, any idea?

thanks advanced.

Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

You'll need an art pen that has barrel rotation (z rotation) and I'd be surprised, if you had one of those already?!
I haven't hooked it up, yet, but it will happen.

It's possible that earliest versions of Verve were using less layers, but it wouldn't do you any good now, believe me. My former graphics card was the Quadro 5000 (with a far too small fan- word of warning to those, who still have it: keep it clean!!!).
GTX 680m is a laptop card, isn't it? Hmmm...I'm not shocked about its limitations. Anyway...don't forget to turn OFF "high quality"! It's possible that you may get bigger than 2k with it OFF!

Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

thx Taron
I use a wacom intuos 5 grip pen, it has Tilt but no Rotation, :?
does Verve support Tilt? :?:

Stavros said that he was using a GTX 650m (m means is a laptop model) it's and older version though he was capable of doing 2k x 4k
then it must be the Verve version that he was using I guess?
I've tried tweaking the advanced options of the 680m on the nvidia controls, but I got the same 2kx2k limit. :(
I'm about to modify my bios with some sort of vflash I guess, I'm ready to punish my graphic card

btw I saw a post, I don't remember were, all previous very old verve versions were listed, please somebody know where it is? thx advanced.

thx advanced.

Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

You were JUST on it the other day in the off topic section. Man, you should meditate a bit, clear your mind, relax, find your true power and calmness!
Verve supports rotation and I have access to tilt and barrel roll, but still have to expand brush features to fully take advantage of those!

Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

thx pud, I really appreciate your help
but I would like to test the old (really very old) legacy versions of Verve.

well that's it, there is no use in asking tech stuff,
now people would think I'm some sortof psycho

Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

Mahahaha...there are sneaking suspicions...true! ;)
Nah, you just seem a little stressed and mildly obsessed. I mean, those are traits of passionate artists, except it appears a little bit as if you were hiding from making art by externalizing your troubles. Instead of working with what you've got, you seem to spend most of your time inquiring for improvements, changes and other demands, almost as if you were in need and entitled to command me in some way.
My advice, if you would like to settle the score a bit again, just enjoy yourself with focus on art itself for a while. Make two or three new paintings, share them with us and then you've got some more leverage again and can also share more of your experiences besides asking for things! c:!

Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

I only ask about things that I'm currently painting on Verve, c:!
recently I was stuck with a 2kx2k painting, I had to split it into two
and I'm currently painting the lower part while imaging how it would look like with the upper part added onto it, yes I now it sounds crazy too :?
but then again not as crazy as the RGBSaturation Knobs, I mean they really are psycho knobs jumping from one color to a completely different one when slightly tweaking them, that's for sure

I'm against posting WIPs, but then it seems it would be necessary in order to back up my words, but sorry if I was intriguing more and less.
Verve its a great app even as it is.

Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

So it happens that, the color itself jumps

Re: Brush Settings & Configurations

@Eddy: Yeah, you keep telling me that saturation would jump around, but I simply don't get that to happen! What are the steps to do in order to replicate this? Does that always happen to you, or did it happen once or twice and triggered a meltdown?! :|

@pud: That's funny?! But without seeing how you did get to the first color, I can only assume it was additive before or something like that?! Still strange, of course. :geek:
