Sugesstions and Perspective Tool

Hi Taron
i really like Verve Painter and the stuff i can do.But i have a Idea, the perspective Grid is awesome an helpful, but i have some problems with your painting tools for my daily stuff, now i want to have the idea, its possible to mark an option and save the grid on a active Layer. Transparent png alpha would be nice, than i can export it into photoshop/Sai /Mischief /ect. iam very bad at perspektive on digital media, it would be awesome for many painters and something the others dont have.
The 2nd thing is an optional flying Tool panel like the color picker Widget with the Common Used commandos , my own most used Hotkeys , like save ( all layers ~_~) ,rotate, maximize on screen,Helpkys ALT/STRG/SHIFT ( iam use a tablet ist nasty some times, to lay my Pen at the Side)

But at all the pros, iam not happy with the Brush Manager, most of the time iam confused.

Re: Sugesstions and Perspective Tool

Everything in Verve is still in an early development state and a lot of things will have to evolve a lot. There is no "brush manager", really, but only a little interface and 8 different archetypes/prototypes. By the time the real brush interface comes, you will be able to create complete presets and store them by names. Custom hotkeys are part of the plan, too, of course.
Currently the interface itself only really has one layer. The widgets are not really floating windows, but those will still have to come. Then you will be able to customize the interface as well.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean in regards to the perspective grid. Do you mean pasting the grid as it is onto a layer so you can save it?
Anyway, check the info docs and you will find how to save individual layers with their alpha as well as a number of other things you might find useful!
[Ctrl]+[S] (...oder auf Deutsch [Strg]+[S]) saves the currently active layer as png 16bit with alpha! This you can import into Photoshop properly!

I could never work with the tablet directly in front of me, haha, I've conditioned myself over 27 years to work with it next to me and my left hand on the keyboard. I know, I will have to make it a lot more tablet friendly for the new generation where there's often no keyboard available at all. Therefore it is part of the plan to improve such a situation, too, no worries there! ;)

ALT/CTRL/SHIFT are normally mapped to tablet keys and are vital for the paint process in Verve. Still, I want to add brush modes, where you can just quickly switch between painting, smudging and averaging (the two current blending methods, but there may come more).
Here to help! :D

Re: Sugesstions and Perspective Tool

Thanks for your answers :)
Yes you are right with your assumption i want to save the grid alpha, but now iam smarter. And i know its on alpha it needs some work an iam aware of it :)
Mostly i put down most of the Comands on my Intous ,sometimes u need a "keylock" on STRG for smudeworks.
But this all is a suggestion or idea not a enforcement.Maybe helpful maybe not

Re: Sugesstions and Perspective Tool

Hmmmm, that is a good idea, actually! Might become a little scary for some people, but it sounds interesting. A similar solution to how I have [c] right now to bring up the color wheel widget. Currently when you hold [c] it will only stay visible until you let go of [c] again. While if you hit [c] it toggles it visibility.
Smudge is [Shift] by the way. [Strg] is erase. ;)
