feature request

Please add an option to turn of the on canvas brush preview. The Circle is a nice way to see where you are painting but it detracts when the goal is a screen recording of the flowing paint.

Thanks

AH man...I keep forgetting that... I think I'll hook that to [shift]+[tab] as a toggle. Thanks for reminding me! 8-)

5:13 pm "AH man...I keep forgetting that... I think I'll hook that to [shift]+[tab] as a toggle."
5:17 pm "Download it again!"

Took you three minutes and fifty seconds to compile and upload, i suppose?

... i like it, but its too easy to loose the cursor? May i ask you to make it a circle, with several options?

Something like, ...
1st, Regular fully visible.
2nd, Maybe the crosshair you get in the empty layers panel that would disappear once you apply paint?
Image
3rd, Just a white pixel that disappears once you apply paint?
4th, Maybe, uhm ... four small dotts that move along each of the canvas edges showing the brush locations cross section, you know?
Image
5th, Fully hidden.

Huh, i am just pooling again, five seem like too many already actually, im sure you find some nice middle ground, or lets wait for some other user's input?

Hmm, since LiveArt's request was for recordings this may would mess it up again, but i wouldnt mind if [Space] Brushsize would always show up.
[Shift]+[Ctrl]+[Alt] Canvas rotation also could have its own cursor icon that would alwas show no matter what state youre in.
And, moving the cursor outside the canvas could always show an icon of some kind too, so you see where you exit ... maybe that layers panel crosshair, again. (kinda like that one)

AAAAaaaand, speaking of little features you keep forgetting  , how about that "click, select layer" ...
i often have my color pallet on a different layer and have to reach for the panel to pick without shading.
A 3rd pick "from all layers but without shading" would do it already actually, whatever is easyer ;)

Re: feature request

Oh...haha, yeah, I don't think he noticed how quick it went!
Eh, hm, yeah, that would've defeated the purpose, I reckon, but changing the size of the brush should be visible, I believe, so you're very right there!

OH, yes, I also wanted to make a spin cursor, that's true! That's a very good reminder!

Wh..y...who, wha...nooooo, no, no, no, before I make color picking even more esoteric, I'll add the actual color pallet that I've already got prepared a bit! ;)
It'll be MUCH nicer! :D

BUT the big trouble right now is that I'm busy again. Not sure how soon I'll be able to add something, but it could be up to two weeks! :(
There's work I gotta do, which gives me more than a "thank you", hehehe.

Re: feature request

Thats quite alright ;) i sure hope that you find some time to join in on the daily sketches at least, though?

Image

Just wanted to clarify why i jumped on this one ... i actually was pining for different cursors myself.
The current one really is nice and dynamic when working with a large brush but i often have it set tiny, to do sketches.
Usually brush #8 with size 7, (Speaking about that, what made you remove the up down left right turn speed on the knobs anyway? Now, it's impossible to reach size 8 (my favorite size  ) ) down there the cursor is a clumpy dott of sorts and id way prefer just a pixel indicator, or just that crosshair thingy would be my favorite actually (it would not have to disappere after all thinking more about it).
Image
Actually i feel that the Picker preview-bullseys hides too much of the content below it, too? i would prefer the pick cursor to be just one prized pixel with the preview dislocated from it for more accurat picking.
All of these things are debateable of course and surely can wate two weeks, in any event xD

Re: feature request

All true and I agree! I'll look into it, jim! The cursors kind of bother me, too. Good calls again! 8-)
