Re: GBoGBo's random stuff

Isn't it more the wonder of controlling a different software with processing.
Even though it is not that obvious in this picture, there are plenty of things only possible inside verve (I see some curl on 0 fun though ;) )

Keep it coming GBoGBo!

Re: GBoGBo's random stuff

Thanks Pilou and Knacki; yes Knacki some curl 0% for the painterly blotches here and then. And I love that, the fact that every image is unique with Verve.
Pilou wrote:It is not more speedy to create the image inside Processing (who has many Styles of drawing) then import it inside Verve ?

Pilou, actually i did the image with Processing first, and the result, no surprise, is flat and textureless :
http://www.gbotet.fr/vrv16/P/mandelbox2D.png
My point was to layer down some thick paint then remove it according to some 2D fractal (i found a mandelbox code that I have simplified by skipping the second stage).
I did it with Verve the exact same way I could have done with real material and a razor sharp large trowel.
With no expense here, no injuries

Can you variate brush size and go crazy like on this image?

Re: GBoGBo's random stuff

Hi zen, thanks !
The image you've linked is an output of the fully fledged 2D Mandelbox after some iterations. I think that it would be a bit cumbersome to implement for a mouse robot over Verve. I see two approaches, either adding or removing paint point by point (not elegant and not sure about the result), or "drilling" every hole in the paint with a small circular eraser like a CNC milling machine would do. But this requires complex "filling area" algorithms that i do not know.
e.g. look at this from 2:23 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2my4RMJZWM

Thanks Tartan.
Sorry Pilou, I should have warned you, I hope nobody got hurt. :geek:
This one should be safe :

Tartan sample.
Small flat Brush #7 (bias 50%), fixed angles, mouse mode.
Mouse mouvements for "weaving" with Verve were controlled by Processing. Final rendering with Blender/Cycles.

Re: GBoGBo's random stuff

Video demo, a bit boring even accelerated :D

Although i'm happy with the final result, apart from some bumpiness it was difficult to find a particular Verve touch for this one

I'm trying to add some Verve personality from the same program, here another pattern with full liquity and only horizontal lines (direct Ctrl S) :
