Re: Pulse's explorations

Greetings fellow artist,
I have been missing a good long time. I am dabbling again in Verve, which I love and enjoy. Here is a new one far enough along to post. I will make robotic modifications and other stuff, but here is the current status, all done in Vevre. Here is the link to the current image on Facebook. I cannot figure how to post a large image here, what is the "trick"? If I scale to under 256kb - it still won't let me upload even a small sample, so I am doing something wrong. Sorry.

Here is an attempt to follow the helpful instructions I received. Dang you guy's are sorcerers, sweeeeeet, and thank you very much!

Re: Pulse's explorations

You can just link to an image that is uploaded on a different site by using the Img tag.

  Code:
[img]url link here[/img]

If you put this in your post it will show the image instead of a link to it.
  Code:
[img]https://scontent-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xap1/t31.0-8/11046378_10206470376975227_2939958291439040566_o.jpg[/img]

Awesome artwork by the way. :ob

Re: Pulse's explorations

ManicJake,
I used your string and it worked. In an effort to show next step in the evolution I copy and pasted my new Facebook link in between the two bracketed beginnings and endings but that did not work, where did you get the string in between from, crafty wizard?
Here is link, but how to I convert it to the string you created that links to .jpg? putting in the Facebook string did not convert to it.
I am missing the true secret ot create the .jpg string......

New string, https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =1&theater

Thanks,
Doz :PP

Man, feels like it's been a while and something good must've happened, too! 8-)
Feels like it's a high priestess, rising from the purple mist...very, very ominous and gorgeous! :ob

Re: Pulse's explorations

Very good artwork, a masterpiece c:! - for loading great pictures - I did use www.abload.de and I can take from abload thumbnail-links, maybe you can use abload.de too? Or you will find a similar page like abload in english .... I used some years ago imageshak.us, but I wasn't happy with that in last years ...

Re: Pulse's explorations

Ok, from your link, click this symbol: (its at the top right of your image)

step1.PNG
step1.PNG (7.84 KiB) Viewed 11405 times

That should open the image in facebook's slideshow view.
Then you can just right click the image and click "Copy image URL" from the menu.

Otherwise you can always upload them to an upload site like Zeropainter mentioned. (the good english one is imgur.com)

Here we go, a new attempt, using the ManicJake's info. Next I will study the other helpful answers....... a deep thanks to everyone for all the great advice, and for really giving advice to this newbie. Dang ManicJake........ nice work. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
It finally worked, I needed a few trial and errors to get there. So, current evolution is now displayed for view. Smart people in this off world artist colony!

Re: Pulse's explorations

Here is the final. It has my character manipulating her organics - futuristic metals, plasmas, electronics before she self heals and smooths out again. Why not,he he he. :D Thanks again for teaching me to post to a link, and the other sites for posting images to.
