Re: GBoGBo's random stuff

I really had a good laugh yesterday evening (to tears !), thanks Knacki and Taron

Well, same program*, different result :
Image
Automated painting with Processing + Verve brush #6, minor manual color/value editing in Verve with Build Up 0%, and Photohop Invert and Levels.

(*) the original code is from Casey Reas et al. (that i have modified for interaction with Verve) :
http://formandcode.com/code-examples/simulate-particles

Note : the fuzzy effect is an happy accident due to the fact that, with a given parameter tuning, the mouse robot struggles to print and go from one Particle to the other (and the more distant they are, the fuzzier the result).

regards,
GBoGBo

 I was gonna write something like that, too: It cannot be unseen again!
Wow, but this looks pretty cool, too. Looks a little like those fiberglass light from like the late 80's or so. Very fancy with the accidental depth of field. Great!

Hi GBO
Maybe a cool suggestion : why not put a color drawing lines, point, curves anything you want under this ? :ob

Minute 8.48! Very Verving! c:!
Is beautiful that please without concept!

Re: GBoGBo's random stuff

Hi Taron, thanks !
I though "fireworks" initially, but it is more like optical fibers with visible light on, you're right !
Hi Pilou,
Daniel Shiffman is a great teacher, i bought his books and they are always on my desk. BTW the code from Reas above is actually based on a Particle class initially made by Shiffman.

"why not put a color drawing lines, point, curves anything you want under this ?"
Do you mean for instance each "branch" with a given color like in here ?
Image
=> This is not feasible with the program as it is, because the branches are not build one after the other : some pixels are added on one branch, then on another branch (which has its own growth attributes), then a third branch, and so on in a round-robin scheme; at computer speed, that gives the nice illusion that branches grow all together, just like in nature. With my current program, I would need basically to change color for every new pixel added, which is way too time-consuming with the mouse robot above Verve. I'll think of a solution.
