Let me say something really strange: I actually love the flatness of the ground!


You're creating this deeply dimensional scenery with the light breaking through the clouds, giving substance to those amazing flat planes and the ominous hills, which feel like they're approaching the light...waking up out of a slumber that lasted centuries if not longer. If the clouds had a similar fidelity to the ground texture, not being textured, but just having the occasional wisps at the same crispness, avoiding the blurry feeling, especially around the hole, it would be a perfect image. Sometimes it's hard to tell, really, but this one is worth exploring for more, because it just has this certain something.
Something tells me, though, you're completely full of those things, just waiting to burst out... which tells me to encourage you rather to make more than to noodle around on a single masterpiece.
