Extrapolations

Thanks for the observations guys, they lit my curiosity as I considered the process I went through. So I started going through old vrv files trying to track it down because I couldn't recall all of it. The earliest vrv I could find related to the image was done on Oct 24, 2014. and it was called Love lol. They are on 2 layers but came from the same image. From what I remember I had been working deep in liquids and saw 2
possible figures. It looks to me like I cut them out of whatever the original was to bring them together and work on their faces more. These figures are original proportion. I agree that the right side is much less magical except in one respect: His expression. When I look at his face I see an absolutely smitten, Head over heels and totally in love entity. The brilliance she emits has overwhelmed him. The way I see it is that the world of seasonal forest spirits is different from what is usual in the real world. The male is usually the one who flashes brilliantly in the ritual of the continuation of a species.

The problem is how to change proportion without destroying the dynamics of the 2 as they are now which is on one layer. I would find parts of it hard to reproduce. I suspect he would turn into an entirely different entity. Sounds fun

impressive abstracts Tartan, high contrasted n kinda hue inverted colors, Verve posibilities are endless I see
when I visit this forum I want to enter a room wherein the time doesn't run at all xD,
congrats again man.

I like the abstracts too, the first one looks awsome - nice colors.

They were definitely fun to do especially the Devil is in the Details image. Full liquid is so much fun

Ed. I know what you mean about a room and time not running. If only... lol

This one was inspired by Knacki's Insectibull which had such nice shading and strokes. But mine started giving me the shivers when i highlighted his eyes

Cool tartan.
What I found out to be good for this:
1.Fill your canvas with STRG+SHIFT+F with a background color. White or something slightly grey. You can't really use the eraser anymore, but therefore you won't have any problems with the alpha bug.
1a. Instead of erasing, paint with background color.
2. After you found a figure turn down fluidity to around max 25% or less.
3. Don't use black. Take something ín mid value. I am tending to overdo volumes, this prevents it a bit and makes everything faster...for me.
4.I am switching off size by pressure for 95% of the time, meanwhile. Specially when minimum size is on 0 it makes everything only difficult. terrible for smudging as you already have to use way to much pressure, and your opacity is already way to high to smudge fine and softly. Switch it off and scale your brush with space.
Now paint and smudge and get horny Don't forget to use "average" (is that the correct word?) with STRG+SHIFT+LMB drag.
Switch off size btw.
And now start blending like never seen before A combination of Smudge and average will lead to very soft forms.

If you are painting on a blank canvas the alpha border reacts very strange according to you color choice. More, blending between color and alpha is very hard and tedious as normally unnecessary.
