Re: Taron's little gallery

Uh, I made a little reference study and really hated how I went about it. So I started fresh and just went by super fast rough motions, not thinking about it, but just feeling it. I almost exclusively used Brush #8 with varying BRISTLE and BRI.SIZE settings. I should make those a WIDGET, too.

Anyway, it's high in detail, thus the jpeg is really crappy to fit 256kb, but here it is... kinda funny, of course, just goofed around!

Re: Taron's little gallery

Don't know why, but I was in the mood to do a little "paint along" with Kevin Hill on youtube, hehe... it's basically Bob Ross next gen, but quite nicely so:

I had to skip forward quite a bit, because, eh..well... it's Verve and not real paint, so it can go quite a bit faster! :D

However, I really want to work on the brush engine to get it to act even more natural. Ah well...
But check out the whites on the birch trees! It's always a single stroke with Brush #8 at default settings! 8-)

Re: Taron's little gallery

Sorry to invade your gallery with comment but I just had to . Absolutely amazing result man! I love how Verve also emulates dry media like pastel now but the last painting is just absolutely beautiful. Also special thanks for pointing to the original, traditional process. When I finally got a chance (bit busy now) will try to recreate it in Verve as well. It is so extremely rare to see so talented programmer :O How you do this man? :D

Any chance you still have link to it?

Re: Taron's little gallery

Thanks, nezumi! Is that why people never write anything here? No, no, nooo... don't hold back and tell me what you think, please! Just because I make this happen doesn't mean I'm meant to be immune to feedback or so, hahaha...

The abstract painting clip, I just found it again for ya':

Thanks again, way to give me a happy start into the day! :D

Re: Taron's little gallery

On my way home from a small shopping trip I looked at our little hill called "Marijan" and realized that it could be really easy to pull that off in Verve with some simple moves. So this is a superquick Marijan-inspired painting, which does look quite Dalmatian, I'd say... albeit very sloppy, of course.

Re: Taron's little gallery

Thank you, borhani!
I just made another one of those "Dalmatian" impressions. All of this is, of course, without reference, just from what I know, but I see this everyday. I should retain some of it in my head after all!

Anyway, I just have to make a demo of this, if you like that stuff, because it's soooooo easy! And kinda fun!

Re: Taron's little gallery

Since I can only remember I loved water reflections in paintings. Even if delicate touch for me it is very pleasurable to watch. Water in the last one also looks very cool. Tonight have to paint something - work will have to wait a little :D
Ow and thanks for the links!
