Re: With verve into the light

sketchbook pro 2015. I am some kind of drawing app addicted. Photoshop never satisfies me. Sketchbook is quite nice and fast.
Even though I'll always will come back to verve which is simply master in look.

It stated to check the perspective guide tool, which is really great. Lazy Nezumi has same functionality but is nothing to compare with that.
It's absolutely useable to draw quickly guides. But time is running out and I had to switch to something simpler than a town to pass.
So it was not that much used than planned.
The pencil in sketchbook is fantastic and it seems that they recompile the canvas after every zoom to antialias lines.
Smudging and blending is totally easy and fast, very much unlike Photoshop.
It comes with distortion tools which makes concepting easier at the beginning. (specially for me as I am always more searching than concrete drawing :D )
You can save in PSD so switching to PS is a no brainer with all layers.

But no canvas structure, no real 3d, no fluids. So painting is so much better in verve!

And yes, I will be on the road, or better on sea for work. around two weeks or so.

I really like the subject here Knacki. The colors and the fantasy are attractive! Have a good 2 weeks and stay safe!

Re: With verve into the light

On sea for work? Now I'd really like to know more! :)
As you may know, I'm in Croatia, where many of the people around me are either chief engineers or captains. Those guys go for 3 to 4 month to sea for a shift. Then they come home for the same amount of time. That's a weird life. Two weeks sound like sea trials.

Anyway, I hope (or could imagine) that you'll have some inspiring weeks out there! Ahoi! :)

Wow, very nice Knacki! I like that fantasy vibe too! c:!

Sketchbook Pro.. After you mentioned I tried it too (at my work I have access to almost all Autodesk products). Yes good drawing/sketching software but Verve is on a very different level in terms of painting (and abstracts of course :) ). In any case thank you for your comments.

After I heard about your trip the song below is still buzzing in my head..
.."What can we do with drunken saylor.. put him in the bed with captains daughter... " :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGyPuey-1Jw
Happy voyage!

Re: With verve into the light

Thanks guys. Will be a lot of work & fun.

@Lemi - Yes sketchbook is not comparable with verve. No way. Totally different look. Sketchbook is very synthetic, almost clean, even though there really some brushes which are giving you a nice feel.
In my opinion a good companion to Photshop -in compatibility and style. Hooks up there where PS lags.

But then you fire up verve - you are making a few strokes and you feel like an old master or a hyper modern contemporary artist...depends on your mood - one thing is for sure with verve - the result almost every time presentable and good looking!

Re: With verve into the light

Thank you, borhani. I really appreciate this.

It's been a long time since last post.
Had to focus on other things.
Finally time for verve again.

Re: With verve into the light

If only in that verve-paint there would be a cat on a surfboard at the edge of a wave
It would make, as i see it, a two characters and a drawing little bit more crazy :)

Knacki, what was the vision behind it? What is possibly going on there, if not a secret..
