Re: Suggestions

I love my intuos, but this cintiq thing makes me slowly hate wacom, that's for sure...or shall I say "rapidly"?
I took the resolution down to 1280x768 or what it was, that was kinda alright for my eyes, but then the most brilliant thing ever happened.... I left it standing there for a moment, so it would turn off, but when I turned it back on, it went to the password unlocking screen, which now was at 1280x768, while the screen was back to full res 1920x1080. Sounds half as wild, doesn't it? Yeah, but the touch screen also thought it was 1920x1080 so there was no way in hell you could type in your password...hahahahaha.... I had to find a keyboard to hook up to this piece of shit just so I can get back in! Imagine I didn't have one or was somewhere else with it. What in heaven's name were they thinking when they released that thing?
I give out Verve for free and it's... maybe they should consider giving their cintiqs away for free? That might make them go at improving it in a much more relaxed fashion, hahaha...... :P
Here to help! :D

Re: Suggestions

Holy shit! hahaha....hmmmm

That would have been a funny story. Sitting in a meeting, taking out the pricewise Rolls Royce of existing drawing tablets.......tap,......... tap ...tap tap tap!!!
For my personal understanding what a even portable machine shoulöd be able to do, technique still need a bit time.

I will never understand why no serious mobile workstation in realistic size (15") for up to date modern CPU's AND GPU's with a flip monitor and wacom technologie is existing.
More as wacom cinitq companion is very big with small workspace.
1920x1200 is max for an usable UI on 15" (And even that is already too small) Everything else is too small. Even if resolution is higher UI have to be scaled to this size.
Specially when yu are over 40 ;)

Drawing on ipad is continious zooming.
I bought a small Intuos pro, which is almost workspace of older A5 but much smaller in over all size for mobile use, because there is nothing serious offered.
Due to tablet hype they forgot useabillity.

Well - for free I would extensivly test the cintiq companion for sure, but I would rather pay for verve than for a companion. ;) Any chance for a extern GPU?

Maybe not the right place to discuss.

Re: Suggestions

Why not? The topic says:"Suggestions", who says they have to be for Verve alone!?
I doubt there's such an option, but it would be nice for sure!
Well, I keep wrestling with this thing and it's getting there.

Re: Suggestions

Sure! Beat it ;) Finally it will be an awsome tool once everything is sorted.

One suggestion ;)

You said bump export should be no problem and it's on the list.....what about import?
Veve could do surprising things in companion with i.e. zBrush.

Doing the relief there and combine it with lovely fluid painting of verve maybe finally render it in zBrush.
That would be an interresting base for a differnt illustration style.

Re: Suggestions

Actually something is very funny!
When you hide Palette with Tab, then Press C for have the floating round palette color
this one is like a ball of Pin Ball when you paint with a big size of brush! :D

So maybe will be cool to make a sound when this one touch one the side of the canvas! And mark 5 points! :P
And when you will have 100 points an another floating round palette color will appear !

Out of that maybe that is a cool concept for a new balls fluids Painting!
Not sure I have yet seen that! :P It's my pleasure to give it to you! 8-)
Have fun coding! ;)

The Verve Pin Ball!

Re: Suggestions

It's tough, but even now it kind of works, remapping modifiers a little and hooking up [space], [c] and [f] actually works kind of nice. But I will put all the essentials onto the screen somehow! ...really tough, but it has to happen anyway!
Ok, I've got a very, very, very simple and very early cintiq version, which ONLY has some speed improvements, but even the fluids are still screwy. However, it works quite well already, as I said. Just very limited.
Verve_cintiq.exe

Ehehe, the flipper could be good fun, toO!

I could definitely hook up a goal for the color wheel!

Re: Suggestions

@Taron
All your problems about Cintiq above are comming from Windows 8 et 8.1 (except the keyboard of course) and not particulary from the Wacom itself! ;)
(I have a French specialist of that under the hands!
