I used visual references to first make a detailed pencil hand sketch of the car, then a pencil sketch of the woman, which I now wish wasn't done separately from the car.
You may notice the black cartoonish edges in certain parts... it was an experiment to see if I could flesh out the elements from the pencil work. I'm not too crazy about it.
The woman is the muse I yearn much for

not much reference besides facial proportions were needed, but I amazed her by the accuracy of her body to real life.
The pose was a bear because I wanted her left eye to be in the dead-center of the image.
I can see a dozen flaws in this image I wish I could do over, but the semi-transparent leaves are on purpose. It gives the sense that they are too close in from the field of view.
One of my other goals was to keep the focus on her face by toning down superfluous elements in the scene... way easier said than done, so fail.
Other than me babe, my favorite element of my image was the play of pink and blue.
