Re: With verve into the light

wow. I blink my eyes and voila! Art! Lotsa art!. I am not sure I have ever seen you this productive . Usually the only other person I open up two browsers so I can have a reference to comment with is B! :D First. Crash. The addition of your vervatar with sweat running down it's face turns a crash into a great cartoon  Fire Maya is a great recovery from the crash with great contrast. You handled the shadows well which can be hard to do for a nighttime scene. c:! The psychedelic zebra reminds me of the horse of a different color in Oz :D Thanks for the warning on the spinning canvas. It made me dizzy thinking about it lol. The borhani inspirations are a unique group. Lemi is right! The eye of the first bird is vivid and cute but its like you could put a panel next to it and have a transition going on from bird to woman or fairy and then a third showing the transformation complete. c:! Of them all I like your owl the best. Just personal preference :) There is a great sense of movement here and personality. It's like the owl is saying, "Step right this way. There are even more wonders to behold." It's almost like the owl is bowing and gesturing the direction in midair with movement  c:!

Re: With verve into the light

Thanks a lot Tartan,

your comments are making all the post really worth it!
Thanks for taking your time.
I corrected the owl a tiny little bit to give her more volume...just for you ;)

Todays result is very different - or should I say vervy different?
But it's more than just a blob. I am posting a link to the original, that you can see the details better (2800x2800 - 3MB)

P.S. for those of you wanting to search for figurative elements - there is nothing by intention....not that you get angry at me ;)

Re: With verve into the light

This fun!
I am vervy excited :D

No, no, I am not an idiot :D I really, really love this ink look.
Since....ever! :D
It is the combination of traditional art, clouds, fluid and a big disaster on your paper. Trying this to turn it into an eye catcher.

I played with magic opacitiy. Even though this cloudy 3D depth is not really there, it gets a nice feel of extra depth.
Coloured light and coloured ambient light, placing the light close to the canvas - all this leads to something very interesting.
The background tiny lines are done with brush N# 9 8% bristles and slightly oscillating on.
This turns into a most beautiful stroke, which deserves an extra painting. ;)

Btw. making the canvas wet - that all ink is spreaded immediatly - is not working with CTRL-D for me. I don't see any difference after pressing CTRL-D. Is there a trick??

Re: With verve into the light

Ah...it's been for drying mode matters, allowing you to get a moment of wetness over the whole canvas. It won't do anything until you push with your brush, though, of course.

I like your styles there, K! :ob

Beautiful experiments - you're making me miss Verve already. I should play more often with it. :D By the way, your owl piece has turned out great too! Excellent job on that! <3

Re: With verve into the light

I think they are good experiments also. As it is you could use them as a background if you wanted but they stand well on their own. And yes the owl rocks  :D
