Re: Michal's little gallery

My attempt to catch my liitle sweet daughter Johana. It looks that the result is not so accurate. I asked Johana "who is it"? The reply was "a boy". :D

Re: Michal's little gallery

Hey,
a little cute daughter.
Congrats!!
She is very young - colors are counting. Put up the saturation and she will get herself maybe easier.
It's a lovely piece of art, your picture.
I really think, some saturation couldn't harm. But that's my personal taste.
Children faces are hard to catch. You made a good job there ;)

Best,

Knacki

Re: Michal's little gallery

I can kinda recognize her! ;)
But I think you should just relax yourself a little, consider it like any other painting- which is difficult- and go at it more freely. When it's personal, it's always tricky. I guess, you could make a page with a whole set of portraits of her from different perspectives and so on, just to actually get used to it for yourself, not so much for practicing, you know. I can imagine that this could work!? c:!

OH, and don't forget to share some of your sketches! 8-)

Re: Michal's little gallery

Thank you Tartan, Knacki, Taron for your comments!

I will have to do more studies with no doubts. And your advices will be taken to my heart! :)

I can share my next sketches if you don´t mind that they will be drawn with pencil. It was done in case of this last painting too. I can use a different thread for them because they will not relate to Verve.

Re: Michal's little gallery

From my point of view, current Verve is very good for sketching too. My problem is that I still don´t have graphic tablet. It is easier for me to use a pencil, scan the result and complete it in Verve than paint all using mouse only (as I did in most cases).
In any case, thank you Taron! ..and I would really like to see some new painting from you!? What about to paint some scenery from autumn Croatia? :-)

Re: Michal's little gallery

You ...whaaat? You still do NOT have a graphics tablet? :o
That is mad, man...
...all the more amazing what you're doing, no doubt!

Anyhow, you should have a look at a used Wacom Intuos3. Those should be fairly affordable and not too hard to find. ...you must have one! :ugeek:
