Somehow I am wondering if you should move "more" in near collage art direction ( in classic sense possibly, as in http://www.ilfattoalimentare.it/wp-cont ... _Small.jpg )... with touch of Verve magic... Ok this is just a thought

Not necessary.
What a bunch of digital artists do to get the focus on foreground is just to add an extra layer above the detailed background and add some white dust/fog to desaturate the background colors.

Just an quick, easy way to achieve a bit more focus without redoing everything. Sure - there are better ways doing right away, but hey! Digital painting can be a bit of cheating, why not.
