Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Again, an image that won't tell you all that much, but it is now the definite solution for my color blending AND I've added Screen, Multiply and Overlay properly, which is incredibly fun already!
Don't let those dials scare you, they will ALL go away, while I may make those custom controls you can add and arrange yourself for parameters of your choice. :ugeek:

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

You will not see them again, Pilou! They are just for me.
And they are dials. Feel great, though.

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

This may look like a terribly boring landscape, but it's a moment of total joy for me, because the whole foundation comes into my control. Conceptually it's totally basic; no fluids, no smearing nor smudging, but it does have volume (material). I'm getting ready to continue with confidence! 8-)

Very good progress, Taron! :ob :bounce:

I'm a little reluctant to ask, but you know me, I am not so shy. :-) When do you expect to release a commercial version? This or next year? :?:

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Thanks, Lemi! I wanted to release a year ago, pffff... so, well, while I was making the sandbox, realizing that things come together as I'm starting to gain control over webGL, I thought about starting early-access-accounts, making it already available during development. This would make members patrons in a way. They just have to be aware that it is during development. Which means, plenty of more things are coming, potential changes may happen. However, I want the skeleton to be strong now and have enough of the basics and some of the frills so that they know, they have to buy an account! :hyper: :D

So, yeah, THIS year! :ugeek:

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Fascinating journey guys (Taron, Pilou, Pud, Ed, Lemi)
Just really fun explorations. Pilou, I like what you are doing with abstracts and textures. There are some great combinations of form and texture with your abstracted 3d. It produced some really beautiful looks. Pud, It looks to me like you are finding your footing in the sandbox and your style. Ed, it’s a joy seeing your sketchwork again. Top notch as always :) Lemi. You need to do more art! What you have done with it so far is fun! Nice conversations between you and Taron on programming and opened these old eyes to a few things.

Taron, I really think you are finally on your way here with a better idea of what to do Business wise. Coding, art and music are all second nature to you and tend to conflict with baser things like sales hehe. I think you are on much better footing now.

I really wish I had more time and creative energy but I am having to do extensive work on my house and yard. In 2018, Hurricane Michael side-swiped my home and completely devastated my beautiful canopy of trees turning my small bit of forest into a field of weeds and stumps. Over 30 trees surrounding my home were lost. This year will be spent in removing stumps that are rotted enough to dig up with my tractor, re landscaping and remodeling my home to put on the market. This in addition to finishing the remaining vignettes and short stories needed to complete my current project.

Coming and seeing all the experiments was a great catharsis.

Thanks guys for a fun journey :)
