You keep saying "fluid density", while it really is "material amount". It's not like the same amount of anything is being compressed into the same space, which suggests a variation in density. This is not what's happening. Also, opacity is most fitting, because it is the opacity value of the material. If the material is less opaque, it takes more material to occlude what lies beneath. "Visibility" is fitting, because it's an arbitrary term not tied to any other physical attributes than, well, visibility. I could also have called it "alpha", but I think that's more confusing. Especially because the opaqueness also determines the al..p..oh crap, I think I have to have a look at the image export now!!!! I totally forgot that!
