Re: Feedback Verve(v0.99v.14)

Ok, thanks Taron, I tried the new version and that's simpler logic for me, i hope it will not disturb other users !

There are still small glitches from time to time though :
What i did :
- Setting the 3 color buttons below the color wheel like that :
COLOR:RED 100%
COLOR:GREEN 0%
COLOR:BLUE 0%
- Setting HUE DANCER 50%
- A few strokes with the mouse on the canvas

On two tries, I had a repetitive blue instead of jittering around the initial red in half-circle.
On several tries after Verve start-up and setting just as described above, the saturation dropped to 3% after the first stroke (with COLOR:SATURATE button reflecting this drop).
Also, I notice that the 3 color buttons are not updated by the dancer.

regards,
GBoGBo

Re: Feedback Verve(v0.99v.14)

if "current swatch list" has more than 1 swatch, use them while user is holding [n]. Else use random colors.

No possibilities to erase all Swatches in one click?
Possibilities to save a creation of "folders" of Swatches ?

Ps You don't answered of the use or not possibility to read the ".PAL" file format?
(for import a specific palet from external data) (256 colors for this one)
Is beautiful that please without concept!

Re: Feedback Verve(v0.99v.14)

Well, it's not even linear, but exponential. I was experimenting around only a little and felt that it could come closer to a pleasant automation.
However, I can see the benefit of a totally simple approach, too. You just have to keep adjusting the hue dancer as you go along.
Also, 100% saturation is not relative in terms of values. If one channel is on 0% while any other channel is on maximum brightness (which ever was selected) then it represents 100% saturation at that brightness level. I also realized that I should've taken that into account, because any brightness under 100% also reduced the saturation...sooo...when I hook up that automation option again, I will consider that, too! :ugeek: :ob

Just out of curiosity, please, can you explain to me why you need this specific table?
I'm genuinely interested in understanding this! :geek:

Re: Feedback Verve(v0.99v.14)

Seems you miss the previous posts : so here the file".PAL" :)

About the explanation : just that my 2D prog manages easily any image palett (millions to 256 colors) (many classify...etc)
so i wish reuse this 256 colors palett in Verve! 256 colors are sufficient for my old eyes! ;)

The file .PAL is the result of this palette image! ;)

Re: Feedback Verve(v0.99v.14)

Nope, I did not miss that post, but it doesn't seem to be the same pallet!
(I've got import working already and just want to make sure I'm doing it right!)

Re: Feedback Verve(v0.99v.14)

Paint Shop Pro .pal format (JASC-PAL) is already working just fine!
UH, thank you, Pilou, yeah, seems like I ALMOST have the RIFF PAL right, too. I somehow must skip the first color somehow, haha... should be easy to find.
In about half an hour I will have a version that imports both those formats for swatches! ;)
