Re: Last version

Made some more improvements to Brush#6 including brush bias...blob shape is now more correctly feathered. Pffff, the old method was lazy.
Also, averaging is improved for it as well!

Re: Last version

Yet some more improvements and some corrections. I even changed some defaults. Most notably Brush#1, actually. All "blob" based brushes like 1 - 6 now have a different shader.

Re: Last version

I think brush 6 worked better yesterday cause these blobs returned again in current version:

It happens when i have opacity controlled by pen pressure, it looks like opacity is being changed too drastically by default and it creates clearly visible circles at the end of the line.
brush 1 works better now tho

Re: Last version

Experiment with Brush BIAS a little, see if that gets you back to what you want! The only thing that has changes is the shape of the individual stipple, which you can control with the BIAS. It sure is different, but the rest is still the same. Give it a go!

Re: Last version

Well i tried everything and i swear it wasnt like that in yesterday and 2 days before version cause i was doing a lot of brush6 images with pressure based size and opacity , not even had single stroke like this, now what i see is 3 levels of sudden fall of opacity when im doing my strokes, its definitely too harsh and too sudden, its like level 3,then 2 then 1 and then 0 opacity:
Image
I dont know, i would like to get rid of these obvious changes in opacity, its repeating almost exactly on different strokes, its almost impossible for me to make it happen at will and adjust my pressure to get the same effect twice , not mentioning 4 times in a row with 0 effort to make it happen, just big size and fast strokes.
If im not using pressure based opacity on brush then strokes are nice, when im using opacity then its blobby again, i believe it should fade out more gradually instead of sudden drops like that.
--
-I think this might have something to do with it , it happens when im using blending setting in brush and have it over 10, it doesnt look like blending, maybe theres some bug somewhere in blending code of brush6 because other brushes blend normally :

Re: Last version

Eh, pffff....shit.
No, there's just the usual amount of crap after making some major changes. I'll have to revisit all that stuff carefully again. It couldn't have been that easy, hm?!

Anyway, I found some other issue that is just as important and I know when it happens, but have to figure out what it is exactly and how to avoid it.
I'll have a look at the blending. Blending is essentially just a constant Averaging as you paint or smudge rather. I've changed some things there, so ...that's interesting! :PP

Thanks, man, I'll see to it! :ob

Re: Last version

You can do me a favor and test this:
- fill your image with white, for example.
- test your lines with color again and see how that acts!?

I think, I might know what it could be... just want to make sure I'm seeing this right.
The blending issue might be worse. I really didn't even think of testing that, but that's an evil one.
In the meantime, just consider that a nice pipe or snake feature...  ...I'll fix it for sure. :ugeek:
