Re: Last version

Pfff, alright, I think it's ok now. I really have to clean up my stuff...it's wild.
Anyway, on Brush#9 I now have a line through the cursor only when you use BIAS in any direction. A positive bias creates a vertical line in the cursor, negative horizontal.

Re: Last version

Taron , I feel in my bones that v17 is coming..? Is my feeling true? :) 8-) I know I know we have got many great new features already but there should be someone that nudge you little :) ;)
From my point of view I am still missing old slick GUI. You mentioned that you are working on the new GUI. What is the progress on it, if I can ask?

Re: Last version

Ah, I'm on a tiny bit of a break right now, making some music, but I will resume shortly! I need to gather my strengths to pull through with the wonderful layerFX section. A pretty massive bonus of that section will be the additional GUI Layer it represents, enabling me to clean up the solid GUI and push things like Lighting, Grid and even Brush editing into floating GUIs, too. That will bring back the "slick" feel of the original GUI simplicity. I really want to bring back only the essential parameters onto the solid GUI with easy access to floating sections that you may place where ever you like.
The real challenge right now for me is only to manage the layer logic properly for a nice fluent working experience, when you adjust things. Another part of the challenge will be the special GUI controls, too, such as my fun LEVELS concept, which should get pretty exciting for its coolness 8-) ... Instead of the photoshop style sliders under the histogram, you'll be able to set markers directly into the histogram and move those to adjust the brightness. I imagine that it will feel incredibly natural! ...we shall see! :geek:

Re: Last version

Thank you for your reply and info! I am really looking forward to your next song!
Man, some music ideas chasing me little bit. I can pretty hear that ideas in my head and can see a painting that can accompany the melodies :) But unfortunately I still don´t get more free time to realize them. We will see. Luckily every day I can spare few minutes to play a guitar and try to be better and better "musician".. :)

Re: Last version

Taron is there any option to lock transparency so i cant paint on unpainted areas ? Im using this a lot when painting digital, do you think its something feasable to add to verve engine or its similar problem like with undo ?

Re: Last version

You can already do that! Turn the BUILD-UP to 0 and use the ">" paint mode (it's default). When you do that, no more material is being added to the canvas and it will only paint on existing material.
Ideally you have fluids turned off for that, but there's one other solution, which could work, too, and wouldn't have trouble with fluids...
Make a mask out of your current layer by hitting [Shift]+[q]!
You may want to invert it for your purposes by hitting [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[q].
You can toggle the mask on/off by only hitting [q]. This will not erase the mask, but just activate and deactivate.

Hope that helps? :)

Re: Last version

works great! I knew there was some unorthodox way to do that :) mask works better with smudge but > mode with 0 buildup works nice as well , thanks !
