Re: Blender Fun

I should make some sticky post on:
PLEASE KEEP THE GALLERY THREADS CLEAN !!!
It's perfectly wonderful to comment on paintings, but don't post any images into another one's gallery thread! Make a new post where appropriate (mostly community, I'm sure) and paste it there. Then in the gallery thread you can post a link to your tangential digression! ;) :ugeek:

Man, this was all hell to clean up now... and I'm starting to get pretty good with the forum, but this stuff is a pain! :PP
Here to help! :D

Re: Blender Fun

Hehe, all is forgiven! :D
It's funny how even the most veteran forum users tend to go off on a tangent as you so beautifully put it! Actually, Pilou is the expert in that field, haha. But thus far everyone is generally really good about it and I'm thrilled.
The really funny thing is that I myself am rather messy and it's eery to think that I'm bouncing around trying to maintain any order, haha! :?

But yeah, I've made this thread so you guys can continue to explore Blender stuff, of course! It's GREAT! :ob

Re: Blender Fun

no problems here either. I just figured it made for enough of a topic that it could have it's own discussion and not confuse someone that was just skimming the gallery.

Thx for the compliment!
About rendering in Blender: why don't imagine a little function of painting displacement directly inside Verve?
So no need to open this gaz refinery!

Else very cool research! c:!
Is beautiful that please without concept!

Re: Blender Fun

Yeah, like I've mentioned, I'll look into more rendering possibilities later on. ;)

Re: Blender Fun

Oh, haha, that I was just playing with, too! I did a little test in messiah:Studio, though. It's certainly fun! But it reminded me all the more to go for a real time approach for such things eventually! :D

Re: Blender Fun

Hi all,
I've installed Blender and i'm learning to use it for the special purpose of testing "Displacement render for Verve, by rcpongo" ;)
I'm still struggling to understand all the tricks of the trade but displaceSetup_p.blend works already beautifully with my own out_col.png/out_mat.png files!
=> A big thank to rcpongo, and of course to Taron for this output feature of Verve in separate files for color and height :ob :ob
By the way it helps also to realize how amazing is the embedded light system of Verve, considering that it is a real time renderer!
Best regards,
GBoGBo
