Re: 99t.07X

GOOD LORD! YES! i saw you mention that you wanted to add a canvas but hand no idea what that would mean :o
i thougth it would just be a cute visual gimmick of sorts, ... i in my wildest dreams had no idea how much it would influence the character of the entire drawing
ABSOLUTELY VERVE
Image

i love so much how it reacts to the brush ... gonna have to get to know Verve all over again, now ;)
Image

And HQ makes a huge difference, really very pretty.

i can't even see any tile seam? is it ... procedural? :o
Insane that project files are backwards compatible, still

Really though, THIS, ... this is so cool! :P
Coffee and mindblow, that's how i like my mornings :D Thank you! And boy, ... CONGRATULATIONS!!!11ONE!!1!

Turns out, you can disable it by changing the resolution/size of the canvas ;)
Probably not procedural, then?

Right, i'm starting to piece things together, now :o

Taron wrote:The Canvas
  • canvas texture logic for brush-paint-canvas interaction
  • canvas creation or selection
  • layer to canvas logic...as it would be silly, if any layer above another would only see the canvas and not the paint below, for example
  • fluid on canvas interaction (which crosses over into the "todo" for the fluids.)

Re: 99t.07X

Ahaha, yeah, sweeet! I haven't even played much with it, yet. I was watching soccer and as I got bored my mind wondered off and there I had a funny idea... went to the machine and wrote it real quick: Tadaaahhhh!
Then I went back to soccer, bore myself some more... ...but the games weren't all that bad, actually.

Rien ne va plus, Pilou, I'm sorry, but the canvas will stay that way and nobody may ever dare change it. IT IS BEAUTIFUL! Fin!
Nah, man, it's just a first quick test and totally procedural. Later people can do what ever they want. Since they can already load images, I might hook up a little something for that. ;)

I figured some of you might get a kick of experiencing it already, see what you think. It's currently pure logic, no trickery or fake, it's literally in the way of the fluids up until they become larger or fuller than the texture. But the presents of the texture always has an influence on the fluids, of course... it's kinda fun. I am planning on a tiny bit of trickery during the application of paint, though, just to enhance the sensation and control the look.

UUUuhh, Ah, Stavros, didn't even see your message up there, hahaha!  ...ehehe, I'm glad you like it! It's really just rough, as I said, a quick idea, hehe. The amazing thing about fluids is that they do things by themselves after you set to rules, so to say, so some thing somehow just happen. That's a blessing and a curse, of course, but sometimes...... pure blessing! :D
As it is a blessing to find your message up there, HA, that's just awesome! You're making me very happy there! Uh, don't I like praise... ...SWEET! But, really, all the praise should go to, hm....your graphics card for not exploding! :? ...Ok, here's a little bit of irony for you: The change I've made actually might just have invited a slight speed-up! Haven't tested it, yet, though. :)

Re: 99t.07X

Woops, jim, nice catch, HAHA!
I've forgotten to clamp the directional handicap the texture represents to the fluid, haha. Just fixed it! Which is almost sad, I kinda like the wacky side effect....hmm.... anyway, there's a version up now that only goes with the brush stroke! :)

Re: 99t.07X

Aww booo! That was not even on purpose? i really liked that, too
Sure am glad that i catched me a version before you fixed it anyway  one really has to be on one's toes to keep up with you

i came to Verve a few days after you fixed an alleged "exploding fluids" bug ... i always regret that i didn't get to experience that
Must have been fun? It really is rewarding to follow the development this closely and to have fun with all these nifty quirks. :D
Makes one wonder what fun things other programs went through before they released the watertight public versions

Nice and fast fix once again, anyway. Thank you! .... Sometimes exaggerated gif spam has its upsides after all

Dude, you really should watch more sports, or maybe organize your sock draw? Do anything boring! i sure love what comes out of it ;)

Re: 99t.07X

HAHAHAAA...I felt the EXACT same thing...booooh...so I changed it around a bit more. It's like a whole new playground to figure out good kind of things!
Forget "fix" for a while on any of this, hahahaha, this is "foxy" all the way!

I'll try a whole bunch of things now, so buckle up! 8-)
Oh, and download again, if you wish... back to crazy with a tiny twist. But there will be a few subtle things that take some exploration to really find out. But it's all still up in the air, please, remember that!

Re: 99t.07X

That, ... is, ... awesome! Lucky me ... i'll be around, today :D

No way? It actually IS procedural, after all?!? You can re-enable it after the canvas re-size by pressing [p]
So very cool! i am all buckled :D
