Hey, discovered Verve yesterday (Jonte showed it to me)!
While not my first doodle, it's the first one I feel I could share..! With Verve, I could actually accurately follow a tutorial from someone actually painting, and understand pretty much how that would translate in Verve. What? You can even have a layer as a pallette and blend different colors together manually..!
I'm quite blown away by the way this works. It is actual paint! Physics... Thanks for making this program, and for free, too! Would have expected this to be expensive already.
That said, I don't have much experience with painting, and I'm still quite stuck without reference. But the feel of Verve is so credible, I'm sure I'll get motivation to start learning more

A tiny thing I missed, was a way to *dip* my pencil and to sort of let the paint gradually become weaker until I dipped it again

Maybe there's already a corresponding feature though, I still haven't discovered everything. On second thought, maybe it would be too realistic, and I would dip my pencil in the glass of water on my desk.
A thought I had, when seeing this could export heightmaps - this could quickly become a very interesting asset to me and other people into game development. When I discovered that there were features to mirror and "tile" the image, I thought of how great it would be if we could paint across the seams of the edges. That way, we could create wonderful repeating textures that would have depth, and export a heightmap.
