Re: Everybody's First Doodle

Waahaha, that's awesome, LightSoul! Kind of psychedelic in a way, and a little bit like having had a wee bit too much pot and enjoying the most vibrant sunset ever, haha. I totally enjoy the style, though!
I don't mind the gloss, but you can always play around with it and the lighting!
You should put your system specs in your signature or at least your graphics card with maybe some info like memory and so on. That way I can get a better idea what your troubles might be!
But, judging by what you've already achieved, I'd say it must be working quite well! :D :ob

First actual attempt at something with Verve. I'm hoping to increase any artistic skill I do have by Verving at least a few times a week. Feedback on what I should work on to improve would be greatly appreciated! :)

Welcome to the forum, Jake!
I do get a teenage ninja turtle vibe here, except that it's probably rather lizard and senior, but it's a GREAT first go! :ob
Well, start up your own little gallery thread and brace yourself for feedback and tips! ;)

Re: Everybody's First Doodle

Hi Taron,

Just a quick note to let you know your user base includes my 4 year old niece. She has fallen in love with verve. She saw me doodling last week, and asked to have a turn. I set up to a brush size she wanted and a fluidity she liked and left her to it for about 15min, while I went and made a coffee. Low and behold when I got back she produced the attached image all on her own. I was taken aback.

I thought you should know of the diversity of people using this little proggy of yours. Maybe you could cater to a whole new market, kids, it's turned into hours of fun, and gives the adults a break :-)

Thanks for such a great little program.

Regards
charles

Re: Everybody's First Doodle

That is AWESOME!!! :bounce:

Please, let her know that I'm already a fan of hers! :D ...isn't it amazing, and I kind of mean everything. It's as if this is a way to reveal and nurture creativity in all of us and all that without a big mess, yay!
No matter what, I'm impressed and it makes me want to study carefully what her moves were, what she might have been thinking and it lures me into this hungry, yet, liberating state of mind. It's a total delight!
Well, I hope, I'll get to see some of your doodles, too, though! 8-)

Welcome to the forum to BOTH of you! (that beer's just for you and me, of course!) ;)

Re: Everybody's First Doodle

Hi Taron,

Thank you for the kind words, and the beer :-)

I initially wasn’t going to post it, as one is biased when it comes to ones family, especially our young ones, however I wanted to share with you, the diversity of people your program has bought joy to. Sometimes we create something, and we don’t get to hear how far our creation has reached, how many people we have affected. And I wanted to thank you because without verve I wouldn’t have seen this creative aspect in my young niece. She was going to take a print of it to her pre-school, to show her toddler peers. I look forward to hearing how it went, and to just sit and observe how she interacts with verve the next time she’s over. I think I will learn a lot, Then I’ll post something myself, if my confidence isn't too shot :-).

Intars
Thanks. Yes, I verve-kid indeed.

Have a great day!

Re: Everybody's First Doodle

THANK YOU, lehcarrodan! And Welcome to the forum!
What a great first doodle! It has a bit of a macro feel to it, like looking into a living cell, which is in the process of chasing away three evil spirits! :o 8-) ...yet, has a curiously complex subtext, showing that it's own energy and substance is of the same kind, while it transforms and takes advantage of it's blue environment to keep itself clean against intruders. :geek:

No matter what, it comes across as a true first doodle and I can feel the pleasure I feel when I just indulge in Verve's nature. :D

Thanks again and I'm looking forward to your Gallery thread! :)
