This is a little test image with different "glossiness" and "diffusion" settings. I've decided to split those highlights into those parameters, even while glossiness does a combination between the sharpness and brightness of highlights, the diffusion parameter can fan out the highlights even at high glossiness levels. However, I do still prefer the consistency of letting glossiness control both aspects, brightness and sharpness, at the same time.
Traditionally in 3d rendering lingo "diffuse" refers to how strongly light bounces off a diffuse surface, which makes no sense linguistically, if you asked me. Diffuse- to me- means it's the diffusion of light with its opposite being hard or reflective or glossy, for that matter. Anyhow... I hope you enjoy. This image shows per layer parameters which are coming in the next release.
