Yes, Eric be my name. Posted it to my dA acct... I could disable the watermark I suppose. Sorry, my painted signature is near illegible... wanted it to be 100% Verve though. and my skill at hand writing leaves something to be desired :|

Re: Everybody's First Doodle

No worries... signatures are about personality, a kind of creative DNA projection, involuntarily almost. Those signatures tend to evolve along with you, too, thus it's kinda cool to have them there already. However, it's good to wind back a little the suspense of becoming a "master" eventually by exercising humility with proper confidence. Sometimes you can embellish your experiments best by accepting their sincerity with but a hint of your sign. Stand behind your work, not in front of it! :)
I do like to place my signature on paintings or any creations of mine with big respect for the subject itself instead of my credits, you know. I do what I do for people to enjoy what I've done, not who I am or who I was. I find it easier to pursue purpose in what I do for others rather than in what I am with maybe just a nudge to what I represent. It gives me a powerful position and I can only assume that the same power will come to all those, who approach their purpose in a similar fashion?!

Oh, but don't get me wrong, I don't mean to put you on the spot or call you out in any way. Big signatures show that the artist is quite proud of the accomplishment in some form and you should be, too. Heck, you make me proud, too. In a way I'm trying to point into the future, you know, when you begin to have even greater faith in your art as but a passionate self-expression, sharing observations, inspirations and visions, while above all that: Honest Fun! :bounce:

Re: Everybody's First Doodle

Couldn't resist anymore not to create vervepaint. Hardly a masterpiece but created with a passion!
Somehow verve seems to be always the tool of choice once I settle to get an image done to one of my projects which seems to have life of its own for like a three years (besides the rest).

This vervepaint was a huge celebration to me! I had a nightmare - a cinematic one which had something nightmarish but it was when I woke up and for a week was thinking about that dream when I came to realize that it had creative connection with this project. Called "Heartcrab".

Just few days ago I created this new one and it captures JUST ONE of the shots, angles, frame of whole dramatic sequence. OMG what it was like to create this verve-paint all of a sudden :o
Verve gave me this instant possibility :?

One thing which I kind of would invite everyone who happen to see this to take into consideration - that female character hasn't killed anybody here. And those huge red spots on her body side is not a blood. There are scarfs and wounds and some blood symbolically on her but not all spots are that. It is just that due to harsh speed it may read wrongly and here I really see a need to insert it.

I captured to some extent an essence of seen eerie scene!
Verve paint program is a Creative-Bless for this

Re: Everybody's First Doodle

I think that's great, Intars, but it may just scratch the need to go into the "mature" threads. And it wouldn't be bad to get some more activity there, too! :)
Either way, great job, again, and your dream must've been epic!?

Re: Everybody's First Doodle

Might agree - I was just thinking, move or not to move it into "mature" but was hesitant. Kinda of felt here threshold is somewhat fine.

There was life changing events on my side. After successful work for 4 years in local IT/web-design/CG studio with a final year getting more and more into arguments with head of office I started to prepare myself for removal from position where I was asked for delivery of everything - photoreal archviz, animated adverts, character animation, gamedev sometimes with a really bizarre way of job organizing and interruptions. I had to be kinda of genious in everything :D

I said No to this recently so my time and efforts from now on will go greatly at developing my new personal-profesional portfolio with a mid-res animated character and his rendering in real-time engine.

Verve to me is now like meditation.

By the way, this painting's description is " At the end of the Sorrow ....to the Freedom.
...Finally.
Peace in Mind of her beast."

This dream, that woman who is kinda of a like a main character - that evolved into one really bizarre and scary/dramatic story I must say. It just lives in my head like on its own. This painting captivated liberating moment of her greatly suffered soul. This painting holds one word, one of my favorite words - Freedom.

I still don't get all the buttons and stuff but it's fun to just doodle while listening to my audiobooks.
