Re: A little musical intermission...

Thanks, Lemi! :)
I figured, I could finally put my soundcloud account to public use. :D
I'm really having a blast, even while I'm still rusty, but it feels so very rejuvenating to make music again...sigh of relief.

It's a fun flute, too, by the way, but it's a bit bizarre this instrument ("Passion Flute"). Reminds me to record my own with a full set of articulations, now that I've refreshed my mind on kontakt scripting, too. 8-)
Here to help! :D

Re: A little musical intermission...

Here's another new one... it's a wee bit strange, dealing with the experience of insomnia.
https://soundcloud.com/taronium/insomni-am

I found some free sounds from spitfire last Christmas that I never tried out and...well...it got weird. The strange off-beat of it reminded me of tossing and turning in bed with a thought that won't let you go sleep... :|

Re: A little musical intermission...

Which thought won´t let you go sleep? If I can help I really like to do it..

This music is really interesting and I fully agree with the comment from Gregor: "Great to listen to this while not being able to sleep. The music illustrates perfectly the matter. Beautiful!" c:! :ob
I love the sad strings on the background and detuned bells there. I hear sad or melancholic mood from this song.. Great piece but I worried about you and thoughts you have to think about? I hope that it is all soluble..?

I am a developer but don´t know it  Thank you for the link, Pilou. Good to know it. Few years ago I installed such a great app that produced pseudo-random sounds in the selected harmony. I am pretty sure I have the app somewhere on some CD at home but cannot find. Great app, very relaxing..

Re: A little musical intermission...

AH, that's so sweet, Lemi, THANK YOU, but I'm alright. I've had a few tossy-turny nights, but that was because of coffee and redbull too late in the evening. I used to exhaust myself so much that a coffee before sleeping wouldn't keep me up, hahaha, but well...those days are gone.
SO, no worries, the song is about such a state of insomnia, not a cry for help of mine, haha. In fact, Gregor must've thought the same and was disappointed that I'd not be up on Skype at 2am, haha.

But I'm very happy about you caring like that! I won't forget it! 8-)

Pilou, thanks for the link to the Game of dice, hehe, I'll have a look at it for sure. Doesn't surprise me, he'd do something like that. I've done a bunch of random "wind chime" like things with Reason at the time. Fun!

Re: A little musical intermission...

It is good you are alright, Taron! :D Btw do you know Insomnia movie with Al Pacino and Robin Williams? :)

I feel some inner vibration to create a new song too.. But because I have time only at the evening or night I'm afraid there will be sleepless night(s).. :)

Re: A little musical intermission...

Sometimes those sleepless nights are glorious, driven by pure joy and dedication to follow your desires, finding more ways to discover and reveal yourself and your powers. It's just important to balance those out again, draw from them the things you could've only learned then, but regain your sanity to put your lessons to use with a clearer mind!

Yeah, I seem to remember the movie, feeling that Robin Williams just never was the right guy for anything serious of that kind. I just didn't suit him, I think. But then, I don't fully remember this one, which goes to show even more that it wasn't one of his good ones after all. :P
