Re: Suggestions

Hehe, as long as we're having fun there is no need to say sorry! ;-) :D
btw. But you have one source seamless sample (we can call it a tile, ok?) which you use to fill canvas (we can call this process tiling?). You further modify it based on size, density, bias and stretch and some math functions (like sine, cosine etc.). I guess here you get Moire artifacts.
Once the process is finished, we can call it a tiled canvas (with some postprocessing). ;-)
Or I'm completely wrong and your source tile is purely defined by some (math) functions?
Thanks for digging this preset! :ob
Maybe it would be nice to have 5-6 of them in some sort of combo box?

Purely defined by math function! ;)
...well, except my pseudo-random function, of course, which is also pure math, but it can potentially repeat. :geek:
Here to help! :D

Re: Suggestions

Oh, it's much, much wilder than that, Stavros!
MUCH!
Because I realized that you might as well draw with your recording, hehehehe...really opening up some insane possibilities. And now that I'm writing this, I'm remembering that I didn't want to tell that to anyone and make it a surprise...but well. By the time I get to it, I'm counting on everyone forgetting about it again. :? :PP

btw. I would like to have more like procedural (with texture) canvas as Taron did for new canvas (something like on this painting).

Hahahaha - it's all there my friend, and much more moire avoiding, irregular, stretched than math will ever be able to define (in a reasonable amount of time):

In higher resolution than verve can handle. No need for boring tiles.
You can even paint on an elephants butt skin canvas i.e., if you really need this badly :D (Shit, this could be a little bit longer search, maybe 10 min.)
Or alloy foil ?

The only limitation is...well...is you ;)
Go for it! It's fun.

EDIT:
10 min. for all. Therefore no butt, that would have taken longer ;) :D

Re: Suggestions

Talking about GBoGBo thumbnail theory I was reminded that zooming out in verve is somehow limited.
To judge a good composition it is brilliant to see your picture just in 100px x 100px.
If you are working on big formats, that is impossible in verve.
My actual work has ~3200x2500. Zooming out is just possible to approx. 700px width.
Way too big.
Is it possible to increase that or make it proportional to canvas size (proportional that a smaller canvas get not lost in nirvana) ?

Cheers,

Verving Knacki

Re: Suggestions

Ahh shit - you said that already to me, I guess. Absolutly sounds like a dejà vu to me.
Yes, that is working. Thanks!

Very decent guides for inspiration:

I just could test the rulers and french curves which are described partly at the end.
Really well done!
