These are bad times but we have been through comparatively worse as a species with pandemics and natural disaster before. The good news that I see underlying the bad is that in spite of the global connectivity that brought us to this pass, that same connectivity helps safeguard the world as a whole. We won’t be subject to the Pale Rider of the 1920’s or the Black Plague of the middle ages as easily as we were. With global warming and our will subjected to the omnipresent principle that “Things Change” it is easy to lose hope in a time that has made the human race “blink”. I say Not.
I was playing around with IBL s and settings in Iray for Daz and came up with a pretty bad render. Yes, I could have reposed his hands but I didn’t feel like waiting an hour for another render. Instead of reposing I wondered if I could work with it in photoshop and verve as it was and make it look good. Of course my aim in 3d is not realism and perfection. I prefer to break it down. This is what I decided to work with. You can see the major areas of concern.

Once I got it in photoshop I took it and adjusted the brightness and contrast to bring it out more, then over to vibrance to adjust vibrance and saturation. I made multiple layers to work with as I use a lot of blends. Before taking the project into Topaz to use custom filters I made another mistake with his hands. I should have done them first instead of after. I get to do the almost final stage in Verve. If you look closely you will see jagged areas in the lines etc. Verve stage will smooth most of them out and detail his features better. I also plan to fix his feet but it might be easier to just cover them with foilage lol. Any suggestions before I do that?
