Man, this can be stunningly frustrating sometimes. But it's also amazing how much it doesn't hurt me anymore, hahaha.... ...weird crap happens frequently. I sometimes don't even expect to understand what on earth could be the reason. This is certainly one of those cases.
I certainly don't see any taper or only a tiny one. Wonder if it has something to do with the tablet drivers and the possibility that you have non of that on your system. I don't know, but eh...

The mouse-speed size change thing is not working here.

Pilou, do you have a tablet installed on your PC?

I just tried the new special mouse speed version and on my computer the new version acts the way it does for Mike K4ICY. That is, there is no change in brush size as the mouse changes speed. And I also get a burst effect if the mouse is not moving and I click the mouse button (WHICH I REALLY, REALLY LIKE). The size of the burst will be between the brush size and the brush min size.

Turn the "Mouse Speed" down to like 10 and see what happens!

Still not a clue about why it's time-based over motion-based, but you can make some neat pedal shapes.

You mean my "mouse speed"? Because time based is the easiest thing to do rather than store and process motion. But I am going to do that, too. Mouse Speed was really just a gimmick since I've had a small delay in there right from the start to soften it a little (75%, the default).

yes but I had tested both!
And for the speed function / size that was better with the mouse!

Is there already feature which limits the paint amount? I mean feature, which will start blending painted oil after when paint has been used from brush tool - and tool which would start blend / mix colors right after first stroke.

Btw. Incredible software! I love it!
