oh Pilou ... they are different!
a rough compare:

- chinese calligraphy write with the big brush and is perpendicular to the paper.
But Iranian calligraphy write with reed-pen (~bamboo) and a specific angle

- chinese letters are more vary. But Iranian letters are sharp & edges fixed
More collaborative forms are Iranian But the Chinese is part-part

- and chinese calligraphy is more similar to painting but iranian calligraphy is similar to geometric design ...
... but my style is similar to both!

I really like that style on the birds. I agree with Pilou also. Taking a concept and trying variations. It is both a learning process and a creative one. The coloring on the men came out well also and matches the style.
