Re: Dev Diary

Hi,

Just wondering if there are any plans to implement some kind of "salt" brush or effect? A point that attracts the liquids, just like in batik clothing and silk prints...

Would be pretty cool!

Thanks,
Martin

Re: Dev Diary

Hey Martin, yeah, I have a bunch of stuff planned that could bring about these kinds of effects. Currently I'm still having to deal with other aspects of it, but the whole fluid world of it is about to get a bit of a shake-up as well.
Here to help! :D

Re: Dev Diary

Hi Taron,

That is great news! Also, it would be really great to have the option to output or mirror the output to a 2nd monitor - It would be way easier to use Verve Painter for live VJ performances :)

Cheers,
Martin

Re: Dev Diary

Uh, that's an interesting idea!!!
Very interesting...hmmmm.... :geek: ...I should be able to figure something out for that. It's on the list now! :ob

Re: Dev Diary

Hi Taron,

That is super good news! Full-screen output (without GUI and mouse) on a second screen would really rock :)

For now I've been testing screen capturing with Nvidia Shadowplay - that apparently can do desktop capture at 4K/120 fps.. Pretty insane!

The plan is to integrate some Verve capturing for a CG sequence in a film project I am working on - I'll be sure to keep you posted on the progress..

Will the new version support 32-bit exporting?

Best,

Martin

Re: Dev Diary

Hey Martin, wow, I'm very curious and excited about your film project then! :bounce:
Ah, 32bit export and all I/O kind of stuff will have to wait for a while, but it will come eventually. There's a lot of stuff I have to figure out for that.
Thanks for asking, though, and I wished I could run Shadowplay, but my Quadro doesn't like it. :(

Re: Dev Diary

Shadowplay? Screen capture Software? You didn't use CAMTASIA for your screencapturing/tutorials?

But By the way, did you have some nice impressions from your development soon maybe? :) Like the SKULL-BONES-HILL, some weeks ago? c:!

Re: Dev Diary

I still only have interface pieces working. Not even the brush is active, haha, so...nothing much to show.
I'm using Debut, but because it's NCH software, I cannot advertise it, because of their spamming malware like behavior. Other than that and that it nearly destroyed my machine, it's really nice.

Re: Dev Diary

 sounds bad, but maybe its good to have dualboot? With Linux? I have booth Windows 7 & Ubuntu (next time I will try better linux-distributions) on my maschine :ob ... and Windows only if your offline - or with a clean updatet system - but I have lost my trust into windows too - 2 years ago they tried to hack my online-banking-account! :ob This was the beginning of using dual booting :ob
