Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Using a secondary monitor is good for coding, for video editing, and digital painting too, I do all those that way,
and such practice is well know over internet, look for any "digital painting tips" tutorial on youtube,
"see your artwork from far away" come on guys, it's just next to "Squinting your eyes when painting"
Leonardo, and many masters did it all the time, they used mirrors for that.
If it weren't useful, main digital painting desktop packages wouldn't have implemented it,
though their android/ipad equivalent apps are a different story, usually also have less features or some limitations.

But certainly Vervette app seems quite good, even without a "duplicate view" feature,
perhaps by creating a shortcut that could toogle between seen the artwork in fullsize n seen it in the previous zoom level,
similar to the hotkey "Ctrl 0" in PS but better, could be a good workaround for the "duplicate view".
Hope this serves.

Thanks Taron, Vervette seems to be a great tool.

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

right, but i dont get discussion, in first place, if you wanna use vervette or verve on 2 or more screen, so do it. i dont where the problem is. the nvidia driver takes care of it, you span yours screen, use as many monitors as you want....
btw. i have 3 screen's :D you never have enough screen's

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

Yes, all the last discussion is about two situations:
1. Run two/more Vervette and without additional code it is not possible to share things between them.
2. Run one Vervette on 1-N monitors using driver support. It will work, including drag/drop but some issues can arise like canvas positioning/maximazing, re-position all tools at the start etc. And without optimisation, bigger screen = more gpu.

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

using multiple screen without good GPU is pointless anyway... there is always some guy which try use 4 screen's on tiny old 512gb GPU and complain about why everything is so slow. but its the old developer question: make something cool for decent hardware or cut down, do workarounds for the one guy with 15 years old hardware.
sorry for the rant, but its impossible to make a product which makes everyone happy, otherwise i would be rich already and sitting in beach house with cocktail and laugh at the world ! :D :D

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

:P ... :hihi: ...see, thing is, I'm really hoping and working on making as many people happy as possible, hoping to activate their creativity and give them an inspiring outlet for their ideas and visions, exploring things about themselves with joy and curiosity. And there's no end in sight for that effort, nor would I wish to see one, because if I had finished creating the best application ever, I'd be busy using it and sharing my understanding, while loving the exchange with everyone. There's no ideal for me that sees me at a beach house with a cocktail, hahaha, though...I could imagine a nice vacation that way. When I was there, I'd still be drinking in the inspiration it would give me and pondering over ways to make things expressible in various ways. ... workaholic me. :hihi:

But, yeah, as for Ed and his ideals, I think, they're just fine and even wonderful at times. I would wish he would strip a tiny bit of the drama involved in his delivery, hahaha... :hihi: ...but I respect them for what they are, even if I have to fulfill far more complex needs and can't promise that his wishes fit the resulting possibilities. Still, Ed, never stop sharing, never stop telling me what's on your mind! I'm sure, I've said that many times already and I hope you'll forgive me, if I occasionally slip into a bit of a naughty giggle because of the "drama"-level.

Oh, and Heri, man... I'd like to see us toasting to a good life together on some beach some day!

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

That looks very neat, Pilou! reminds me of some sort of cardboard or so, like a miniature of sorts. It also reminds me of those toe-spreaders for women's toe-nail painting, hahaha... :hihi:
Very pretty colors, too! :ob

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

It's interesting how this twist turns it back into an abstract 3d element and reduces the tangible impression from before. Still neat, though!

Re: Vervette Fluid Sandbox...

And some different because it's not exactly the same texture, but the texture "framed" above for hanging in a museum so white thickness lines more! ;)

And i am always dazzled how easy to make such texture in few seconds with only change the Size brush and use the 1,2,3 keys!
And of course the "Random Hue" & speed Fluide! No more! :geek:
Is beautiful that please without concept!
