Re: Bug Reports

I was trying to think of the logistics there. It's kinda tough to keep track of postings, once some more people start doing that (nutch, nutch: POST PAINTINGS!!!) :o
I'm not sure how that could be handled with thumbnails. I sure wouldn't want to run around and make thumbnails for other people's paintings all day long.... but I could say:
"If you want your picture to be in the Thread Carousel, please make a thumbnail [64x64] as jpeg! Post it or a link to it in your post in your post, please!"

Maybe that would work?!

Re: Bug Reports

Right, that should work ... Sounds like something that would go into an FAQ thread   ;)
Mmmh, i still prefer a mechanism by which the Community and Mods can nominate submissions too, though?
Let's see how that works for the " SUBMIT ARTWORK FOR TOP ROW! ", then.

i would not mind to make a first set to get it started in any event, if that's alright?

Re: Bug Reports

Don't make a big set.... piece by piece. Otherwise I get panic attacks...
People should get used to sending just one at a time, you know...

Re: Bug Reports

Noticed some things while painting the Cave ;)

- Fill, seems to put a layer of buildup down, each time? ... That's logical i guess but, behaves a bit strange? The 2nd Fill drowns the Canvas structure already but when you then paint on it with #9, it still sees the Canvas, somewhat? It's also strange when you Fill -> Scale up the canvas a bit [Shift]+[f2], commit -> Fill again ... It should make sure that every pixel has some paint but i'd prefer no extra buildup beyond that? :?

- Things are floating upward in warp mode when "BLUR" is checked? Use any brush and wiggle it gently to see.

- Layer Opacity and Blending-mode does not seem to affect the Canvas structure filling? i.e. a 2nd Layer with 5% Opacity still fills the Canvas structure 100%.

Re: Bug Reports

Hmmm...have you tried the latest version (from like an hour ago?)
Anyway, I can't confirm any of it?! :?

Re: Bug Reports

Yes, the very latest version is what i've been working with

So, here is the Fill -> Scale -> Fill thingy:
Image

Here, two Fills drown the Structure, but #9 still sees it ... a little bit:
Image

Here, two Layer, each filled once ... Blending and Opacity dont show the Structure:

Here, things are floating up in Warp-mode (Pressure based BLUR must be checked)
Image

And, here is one i havnt reported yet, the Canvas gets a black outline when i undo, it pops away when i touch the canvas again:

... Sorry

Re: Bug Reports

Oh, the blur thing I knew and know...it's what happens, if you blur image coordinates.
The black rim there is probably just a display mode snafu, nothing that's really on the canvas. I don't even get that here...so...card weirdness, but non-threatening.
The 1st fill thing is totally logical... it fills the canvas, it doesn't CLEAR it first...that's your job! ;)
The 2 fills and brush still sees the canvas...ah yeah, well, eh...yeah, that seems a little off, but it's a deliberate tweak gone "wrongish". When you work with it, it kinda feels right under most circumstances, but it sure could use some more elegant tweaking. :|

Thanks, no need to be sorry!

Re: Bug Reports

Okay, thats what i meant, though ... A threshold of some kind ... i think Fill should add the minimum paint wherever is none at all, but not add more Buildup to areas that already have enough placed ... Because right now, it destroys whatever relation your Layer has with the Canvas, you know :?

Right, the Undo outline does not harm, though it only came in recently, never had that before ... Thought you may did something? :?

Anyway yes, nothing lifethreatening ... just my usual naging  ;)

Re: Bug Reports

Sounds to me like fill needs a bunch of more options.
