Re: IMPLEMENT, IMPLEMENT!

How would you like, pressure dependent Bristle count for #9?
i see this working beautifully with a short particle "life time" with a large +- to it
So that, if you start the stroke out pressing hard, many Bristles are born and then when you contunue the stroke softly, the bristles die out, gradually and randomly along the stroke
Image
Maybe some bunching to it? Like, nine out of ten Bristles spawn close to already existing Bristles and the 10th in a far out "empty area" :?
Hmmmh, if the 10th would be a "Seed Bristle" and would have a "Max Child bristle" sort of thing, clumps would emerge and decay, i imagine. :P

Re: IMPLEMENT, IMPLEMENT!

No pressure Taron .....just whip that up would you....
lol!
but I would have to agree that this would be brilliant!
This sort of organic brush behaviour is so elusive in current software.
Which is why I LOVE THE FRACTAL BRUSH soooooooooo much.

Speaking of which may I suggest an assortment fractal noise options....
they just seem so useful in so many ways....for brush and canvas
especially when they can be modified
as in the canvas...scale, threshold, contrast etc

I also love the #8 fractal brush and would like to see other fractal brushes added with different patterns.

Re: IMPLEMENT, IMPLEMENT!

Y E S !!! Me, too! I'll have great fun with more procedurals later on! They've always been close to my heart and it's endless fun to play around with ideas there!
It'll also get quite useful with some of the standard patterns such as grids, bricks or other regular patterns. That'll get even more exciting once I add perspective awareness to it like aligning strokes to the perspective grid and with it all involved patterns, hehe. That'll be sweet! :)

I'm pretty certain that some super exciting things and their control will find their way into Verve! :D
Here to help! :D

Oh, totally missed that one somehow. Yep, this is all exactly the kind of stuff I will hook up to the complete brush interface eventually. Currently it reduces the bristle amount with the size of the brush already, responding to the pressure as well, thus it's a piece of cake to do that without changing the brush size. But since that would have to be an option it has to wait until I get the interface going.
